Shani Dev In Vedic Astrology - Sade Sati, Dhaiya, Dasha Impact & Solutions

Shani Dev in Vedic Literature and Astrology

In Vedic Literature and Astrology, Shani is considered the planet of patience, discipline, and justice.

The name “Shani” is derived from "Shanaye Kramati Sah," meaning "the one who moves slowly."

Shani or Saturn takes almost 30 years to complete one revolution around the Sun; hence, it is the slowest-moving planet in our Solar System.

Shani is also one of the most important (and feared) planets in our Navagraha, as people who have gone through Shani Sade-Sati and Shani Dhaiya can attest.

Everyone remembers the story of Raja Vikramaditya.
Once a great and just ruler of ancient India, Raja Vikramaditya, in a bout of arrogance, dismissed the effects of planetary influence over him, including that of Shani.

Shortly after, Raja Vikramaditya was hit with Shani Dasha. He had to go through several hardships and obstacles and lost his whole kingdom as he needed to learn humility and humbleness during this time.

In the end, the righteous and Dharmic nature of the King prevailed and he regained everything whilst learning a few very valuable lessons along the way.

Thus, Shani Dev doesn’t spare anyone.

Shani Deva acts as the Cosmic judge or the teacher who wants all of us to learn the importance of hard work, discipline, patience, Karma, and humility.

And this is where Shani Aushadhi comes into effect.
It mitigates Shani’s influence over oneself, thus helping them move through hardships and obstacles in a much more positive way.

Birth and Origin of Shani Dev in Vedic Literature and Astrology

Shani Dev was born to Surya Dev and his wife Chhaya, the shadow form of his wife, Sangya.

The story goes that since Surya Deva was so bright and brilliant with a blazing heat, Sangya had to create a clone of herself, Chhaya, and went into deep meditation during pregnancy.

As a result, Shani Deva had a darker complexion due to which Surya Deva doubted Chhaya’s fidelity and refused to call him his own son.

This angered Shani Deva and his divine gaze (drishti) fell on Surya Deva which led to him losing his radiance and brilliance.

Surya Deva realising his mistake sought forgiveness, and Shani Deva obliged, but thus created a rift between the Father and the son.

Hence why, the Sun-Saturn conjunction in a chart leads to issues with authority figures and inner turmoils.
And this is why Shani Aushadhi helps mitigate the serious influence of Shani on the chart.

And this brings us to Shani Dasha and Sade Sati.

What is Shani Mahadasha and Shani Sade Sati? How long do they last?

As per the Vimshottari Dasha System, Shani Mahadasha is one of the most important phases of one’s life which lasts for 19 years during which Shani becomes the most important planet in one’s chart.

Shani symbolizes karma, discipline, patience, hard work, and endurance.

During Shani Mahadasha, an individual could face a lot of delays, hardships, health concerns, career issues, financial problems, etc. based on where Shani Deva is sitting in their chart, and what kind of influence they are having on the individual.

Similarly, Shani Sade Sati is a 7.5-8 years long phenomenon when Shani Deva transits on the zodiac signs (2.5 years each)

- Before the Moon’s natal sign.

- The Moon’s natal sign.

- The sign after the Moon’s natal sign.

Again, this is the time for hardship, patience, cleansing your Karmic slate and the time when Shani Aushadhi can help you mitigate the problematic years of Shani where you face numerous obstacles.

Shani Dhaiya is another such phenomenon that lasts for approximately 2.5 years when Shani transits through the 4th and 8th house from Moon’s natal sign.

Shani Mahadasha, Shani Antardashas, Sade Sati, and Shani Dhaiya could be some of the most transformative, yet the hardest times in the life of an individual during which they have to mitigate several obstacles.

And this is why we have come up with our Shani Aushadhi to help the individual mitigate these times by calming down the intense effects of Shani.

Why Does Shani Aushadhi Work?

If you go through the ancient Vedic scriptures, Pooja, Daan, Fasting, and Navagraha Aushadhi are given as the best solutions against malefic planetary influences.

Every planet exudes a certain type of energy, and the ancient Vedic scriptures have mentioned Aushadhi (herbal remedies) for each and every planet based on the combination of different ingredients.

The concept of Navagraha Aushadhi is deeply rooted in Ayurveda, Vedic astrology (Jyotish), and Tantra, where the vibrational and medicinal properties of plants are known to align with cosmic energies.

Each planet affects an individual in a particular way.

Navagrah Aushadhi works on the principle of vibrational resonance between the herbs and the cosmic energies of the planets.

Each planet is associated with specific plants and herbs.
For example, Shani is associated with Black Sesame Seeds, Surya with Kesar, and Jupiter with Turmeric, among others.

At Ganga Sharnam, we bring the wisdom of ancient Vedic teachings into life by blending all the ingredients mentioned in our Vedic scriptures to create Navagraha Aushadhis, specific for all the planets; Whether it's Rahu Aushadhi, Ketu Aushadhi, Shani Aushadhi, Mangal Aushadhi, Surya Aushadhi, Budh Aushadhi, Guru Aushadhi, Chandra Aushadhi, or Shukra Aushadhi.

What Are The Benefits Of Shani Aushadhi?

Navagraha Aushadhi is thus a unique combination of Ayurveda, Astrology, and Spirituality, thus making a powerful tool in the Vedic healing tradition of the Navagrahas.

It’s also cheaper than Gemstones and provides holistic benefits for the physical, mental, and spiritual body.

Thus, if you are looking for Shani remedies, Shani Shanti Aushadhi helps you:
